Ten new lights were installed on multipurpose fields six through eight during the recent upgrade process

Indian Trails Sports Complex Palm Coast has completed a $714,494 lighting project at Indian Trails Sports Complex, adding 10 lights to multipurpose fields six through eight and allowing year-round evening play across all eight multipurpose fields.

PALLM COAST, Fla. — Palm Coast has completed a $714,494 lighting project at Indian Trails Sports Complex, adding 10 lights to multipurpose fields six through eight and allowing year-round evening play across all eight multipurpose fields.

The Flagler County Commission awarded a $357,247 matching grant through the county’s Tourism Development Office on May 18, covering half the project’s cost. Fields one through five were already lit.

Parks and Recreation Director James Hirst said the expansion meets longstanding demand from local teams and event organizers.

“These new lights open up a number of possibilities for evening and nighttime play year-round on all of our multipurpose fields, which we know has been in demand for some time,” Hirst said.

The project follows other upgrades at the 164-acre complex, including traffic safety improvements and a new parking lot with a drop-off loop.

The facility hosts Palm Coast Little League, soccer leagues, tournaments and the Palm Coast Big Buoys baseball team, which recently completed its inaugural season.
