250 animals looking for ‘furever’ homes at Orange County Animal Services

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — There are 250 animals looking for their forever homes at Orange County Animal Services.

The shelter said for every one or two animals that get adopted, five or six come in to take their place.

“While we’ve had higher numbers, we’re trying to stay ahead of this sudden rise in intakes,” shelter officials said. “Every day brings us more and more surrenders and strays.”

The shelter is asking the community to help by opening their homes to one of their animals.

“There are 250 sweet faces that are ready for their lives to change; 250 sweet souls ready for happiness,” shelter officials said.
