ORLANDO, Fla. — UPS announced Thursday that it plans to hire more than 1,000 seasonal workers in the Orlando area before the holiday rush.

That’s a small fraction of the more than 100,000 seasonal employees the company said it expects to hire nationwide this holiday season.

The company said 80% of its positions don’t require interviews. Instead, it’s a digital-first process that takes 25 minutes from application to job offer.

UPS is filling full- and part-time seasonal positions, primarily seasonal drivers, package handlers and driver helpers.
