30 people displaced after Orlando apartment fire

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police officers and firefighters teamed up to help rescue people from an apartment fire over the weekend.

On Monday, Channel 9 learned that 30 people were displaced in the fire.

Orlando police released body camera footage on Monday that shows firefighters and officers working together to help residents escape units at Avalon Apartments during the fire.

Investigators said the fire started early Sunday morning and that it displaced about 30 people.

“By working together, no injuries were incurred as a result,” officials said.

The Red Cross was notified to help displaced families. Officials said the fire was likely an isolated event, and they don’t expect there to be an criminal charges.
