MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A pedestrian was injured early Monday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Marion County Fire Rescue said crews were called to the crash at 1:12 a.m. near SE Maricamp Road and SE 58th Avenue.

Officials said the crash involved a pedestrian.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run crash with injuries.

As of the latest update, the crash remained active, though there was no road blockage reported.
