ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Firefighters responded to an early morning fire alarm at an InTown Suites near University Boulevard and Rouse Road Monday.
Orange County Fire Rescue said crews were called to the hotel after someone reported smoke inside a room at about 6:13 a.m. The room’s sprinkler system activated.
When firefighters arrived, they did not find an active fire.
The State Fire Marshal has been notified.
Fire officials said the incident appears to involve an e-bike battery, though the investigation remains ongoing.
The American Red Cross was also requested to respond and assist around 12 people affected by the incident.
