ORLANDO, Fla. — Girl Scout Cookie season is going to the dogs in 2027 — literally.
Girl Scouts of the USA announced two new additions to its cookie lineup Tuesday: Patch Pals, its first cookie created specifically for dogs, and Girl Scout Sparkables, its first allergy-friendly cookie.
Both products will launch nationally Jan. 12 and will be available exclusively online for direct shipping during the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season.
A Girl Scout cookie for dogs
Patch Pals were developed in partnership with pet company BARK.
The soft-baked dog treats are blueberry muffin flavored and made with added blueberries. Each treat features one of four patch designs representing different Girl Scout experiences.
Ingredients include wheat flour, blueberries, honey, brewer’s yeast, blueberry pomace and cinnamon.
The treats will be sold through individual Girl Scout and troop links or through the Girl Scout Cookies website beginning Jan. 12.
New option for families with food allergies
Girl Scout Sparkables were developed with Partake and are crunchy oatmeal cookies made with chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles.
The cookies are produced in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens: wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, sesame, soybeans, crustacean shellfish and fish.
Partake founder and CEO Denise Woodard, a Girl Scout alum and troop leader, started the company after her daughter was diagnosed with multiple food allergies.
Sparkables will also be available exclusively online for direct shipping beginning Jan. 12.
What about Thin Mints?
The new offerings will join familiar Girl Scout Cookie varieties including Thin Mints, Samoas/Caramel deLites and Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs.
Prices for the two new products will vary by local council.
Girl Scout Cookie season generally runs from January through April, although dates vary by region.
Girl Scouts of Citrus Council serves more than 13,000 members across Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties. Proceeds from cookie sales stay with local councils and troops to support Girl Scout programs and activities.
