Motorcyclist killed in collision at North 91 Mine Road and SR-60 intersection

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in Polk County that involved a jeep and a motorcycle.

According to troopers, the jeep driven by a 47-year-old woman from Haines City was traveling southbound on North 91 Mine Road.

The rider of the motorcycle operated by a 57-year-old man from Lakeland was traveling eastbound on SR-60.

At the intersection, the jeep turned left into the path of the motorcycle, where it struck the jeep.

The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
