Goodwill Industries of Central Florida reception honors over 200 employees

ORLANDO, Fla. — Goodwill Industries of Central Florida held a special luncheon earlier this month to honor 219 employees who had reached career milestones over the past two years.

Out of those 219 employees, 156 people celebrated five to 10 years, more than 53 people celebrated 10 to 19 years and 10 people celebrated 20 years of service.

One individual celebrated a 45-year work anniversary, the longest continuous employment record in the organization’s history.

Earlier this summer, the organization announced a new employee tuition scholarship program to cover 100% of postsecondary education costs.

“Especially over the past two-and-a-half years, our staff has gone the extra mile to uphold our mission and serve the Central Florida community, and we are extremely grateful for their hard work,” said Ed Durkee, president and CEO at Goodwill Industries of Central Florida.
