With new ticket prices, here are the cheapest times to visit Disney

BAY LAKE, Fla. — Visiting a Disney park is not a cheap experience, but there is a time to visit when prices are about as low as you can expect them to get.

Len Testa, president of travel website Touring Plans, said for a trip to Disneyland in California, travelers would likely save the most money visiting between May 11 and May 14.

"The ticket prices are rock bottom ($104 per day plus tax), and the Disneyland hotel rates are $372 per night plus tax -- about $94 per night less than the next-cheapest nights I can find," he said.

Visiting Disneyland and Walt Disney World is generally cheaper during the week.

"The cheapest upcoming time to visit Walt Disney World is August 23rd through September 12, 2020," Testa said.

Tickets cost around $103 per night for a four-day pass, and Disney's hotels rates range between $133 to $162 per night plus tax at its lowest-cost resorts, which is the lowest price of the year.

Other cheap dates include Sept. 13 through Oct. 8, Oct. 25 through Nov. 4, Nov. 8 through Nov. 20 and Nov. 28 through Dec. 5.

Unlike Disneyland, the summer months can be fairly affordable at Walt Disney World because of Florida’s heat.
