OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A behavior technician at PM Wells Accelerated Academy in Kissimmee, Florida, was arrested Friday after an alleged physical altercation involving a 17-year-old student with special needs.
Marcus Dickson, who worked in the school’s special needs classroom, was taken into custody at the school and charged with child abuse without great bodily harm.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on Oct. 7. Authorities said the student’s chair was knocked over, causing the student to fall to the floor.
The student did not seek medical treatment afterward.
A school detective with the Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident and arrested Dickson.
