WILDWOOD, Fla. — Former Wildwood Police Chief and City Commissioner Don C. Clark has died, according to the Wildwood Police Department.
Clark died early Saturday morning, Sept. 26, the department said in a statement. Details about the circumstances of his death were not immediately released.
The department said Clark spent many years serving the City of Wildwood and its residents, demonstrating “a deep commitment to the community” and to the people he served alongside.
“His contributions to the City of Wildwood will not be forgotten, and the legacy he leaves behind will continue to be remembered by those who had the honor of knowing and working with him,” the department said.
Police extended condolences to Clark’s family, friends, former colleagues and others who knew him.
No information about funeral or memorial arrangements had been released as of Saturday afternoon.
