Automaker General Motors has recalled almost 340,000 large SUVs because their daytime running lights won’t turn off when the vehicles’ regular headlights are switched on.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that having both sets of lights on at the same time could cause glare for oncoming traffic and could increase the risk of a crash, The Associated Press reported.
GM has recalled some 2021 Tahoes, Suburbans, GMC Yukons and Cadillac Escalades.
There have been no reports of crashes or injuries linked to the issue.
Owners will be notified by mail starting Dec. 19 and dealers will fix the issue by updating the software that controls the lights, the NHTSA said.
The NHTSA says the repair will be free for owners.

GM’s number for this recall is N222382220.
The NHTSA has designated it as 22V827000.
