TITUSVILLE, Fla. — The southbound portion of the Hopkins Avenue intersection at Garden Street in Titusville is closed indefinitely after a water main break on Monday afternoon. Road repairs are expected to continue through at least Friday, depending on the weather, city officials said.

Water service has been restored, but a precautionary boil water notice remains in effect for several nearby properties.

Utility crews shut off the water main around 2:30 p.m. Monday to repair the break along Garden Street. The city is working with the Florida Department of Transportation to assess and repair the damaged roadway, and a contractor is on-site.

“Repairs are expected to take a couple of days — through Friday at least — but that all depends on the weather,” city officials said.

The boil water notice applies to the following addresses:

  • South Hopkins Avenue: 04, 3558, 3556, 3659 and 3667.
  • Garden Street: 9, 410, 414, 450, 490 and 425.
  • Lemon Street: 10, 12, 18, 20, 22 and 26.
  • Orange Avenue: 400 and 310.
