PERDIDO KEY, Fla. — Residents across Florida’s western Panhandle began assessing damage Saturday after Hurricane Isaias moved through the region.
Channel 9 reporter Shannon Butler documented damage in Perdido Key, where fencing, siding and other building materials were scattered around homes.

The photos also show a garage door pushed inward, sections of fencing torn down and debris surrounding several palm trees.
Isaias made landfall near Destin at 9:30 p.m. Friday as a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph.
Channel 9 crews remain across the Panhandle gathering information about damage, flooding and recovery efforts.
