ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida is in for another hot and humid day, with heat waves expected to continue through the rest of the week.
High temperatures will climb into the low to mid-90s, but it will feel significantly hotter. Heat index values are expected to reach between 100 and 110 degrees in many areas.
A Heat Advisory is in effect again from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for most of Central Florida.
Residents are urged to take precautions during the hottest part of the day, including drinking plenty of water, taking frequent breaks from the heat and limiting strenuous outdoor activities.
A few showers and thunderstorms will also be possible this afternoon.
Storm chances will increase mainly near the I-4 corridor during the late afternoon and evening hours.
Despite the potential for rain and storms, the heat will remain the main weather concern, with hot and humid conditions expected to persist across Central Florida through the remainder of the week.
