LEESBURG, Fla. — A 3-month-old girl from Leesburg is competing for a $25,000 prize and a national advertising appearance.
Paislee Allen, who was born July 1, was in ninth place in her Baby of the Year group Monday, according to her mother, Ashley Allen. She must finish among the group’s top five when the current voting round ends Thursday to advance.
The national competition is operated by Colossal and benefits Baby2Baby through the charity DTCare. The eventual winner will receive $25,000, appear in an advertising campaign with The Honest Company and be featured in an advertorial in Variety.
Voters may cast one free vote every 24 hours. The contest also allows adults to make donations for additional votes.
Paislee’s family said it would use the prize money toward purchasing a permanent home.
