WINTER PARK, Fla. — A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday morning in Winter Park, and police have someone in custody they believe was involved.
Deputy Chief Lisa Suepat said traffic homicide investigators are investigating the crash in the area of South Orlando Avenue and Minnesota Avenue.

Police are working to notify the motorcyclist’s next of kin before releasing additional information.
Investigators are also determining what criminal charges may apply to the person in custody. Police have not released that person’s identity or announced charges.
The crash initially shut down Orlando Avenue, also known as U.S. 17-92, in both directions between Gene Street and Minnesota Avenue.
All lanes have since reopened, police said.
