DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead NASA spoke in Central Florida this week.

Jared Isaacman spoke at the commencement ceremony for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach on Thursday.
Isaacman focused some of his remarks on calling for college graduates to help build up America’s space economy.

He said America’s place in the aerospace industry is different than it was a decade ago.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is Isaacman’s alma mater.

He was also awarded an honorary doctorate for his work in aerospace at Thursday’s event.
